Before Spatial Holistic Assemblies Ltd. was founded, Iker Mugarra Flores worked at NEWTECNIC Ltd.  as an Associate. Iker was in charge of developing all of the automation processes for the project’s computational and parametric implementations that provided control over this project’s complex geometries.

Most of this implementation focuses on the optimizations of the panel and the façade systems for fabrication and installation, which helped with the validation of system details adaptations and interfacing across the entire façade, as well as quantity take-offs to ensure the proper delivery of this extremely complex project (DFMA).

Iker also developed the interoperability work flows that allowed the conversion of geometry between Rhino3d and Revit, essential to fulfil the contractual deliverables of the project. This was key since all the teams (specially Zaha Hadid Architects) during the design development of the project used Rhino3d.

The King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Metro Station will become an interchange on the new Riyadh Metro network, an entirely new public transit system for the city with 6 main lines covering 176 km and 85 new stations. Anticipated to transport 3.6 million passengers a day in full capacity mode by 2030.
