Before Spatial Holistic Assemblies Ltd. was founded, Iker Mugarra Flores worked at NEWTECNIC Ltd. as an Associate. He was the Project leader for the Grand Theatre of Rabat Facade engineering package. He was responsible of leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers, for the drawings package and leasing with the different teams and coordination.

Iker was in charge of the computational and parametric implementations that provided control over geometric optimizations for fabrication, validation of system details adaptations and interfacing across the entire façade, as well as quantity take-offs to ensure the proper delivery of this extremely complex project within budget (DFMA).

The Grand Theatre of Rabat is a performing arts venue located in Morocco. This venue includes an auditorium with capacity of 1,900 seats as well as an external amphitheatre of up to 7,000 people. It also includes dressing rooms for artists and the audience, cafes and a restaurant. This project is fully funded by the state and is managed by the local public redevelopment agency.
